“孝感牌”孝感麻糖1981年荣获国家“银质奖”，它以香、甜、薄、脆的独特风味闻名于世，其显著特点是：香而不艳、甜而不腻、回味无穷。作为主要原料的麦芽糖又兼有润肺止喘之功能，对患有支气管炎、哮喘等疾病的患者，长期食用孝感麻糖能减轻病情，有百利而无一害。清康熙三十五年《孝感县志》记载：“麻曰脂麻、可以为油，和糯炀以为糖，曰麻糖。处处有之，而孝感独著。”古诗云：“形似玉梳白似璧，薄如蝉冀甜如蜜，难得世上一佳品，传于后世莫走移。”
